Student Visa -Subclass 500

âĒ The length of your stay is determined by the course you choose. Depending on the duration of the course, additional time may be granted.
âĒ Students must have OSHC in place for the same term to be granted a student visa to cover the additional time.
âĒ You must check visa(subclass 500)conditions.
âĒ You can also apply for a waiver of the visa condition.
âĒ You should apply for a new student visa, at least 8 weeks before your existing student visa expires.
âĒ The charge for extending your visa is AUD 630. This is the same amount you paid when you first applied for a student visa.
Eligibility
- Should be enrolled in a study course in Australia.
- Should either have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) or fall under one of the exemption categories.
- Must be 6 years or older.
- Should have a welfare arrangement, if you are below 18 years of age.
- If in Australia, must have an eligible substantive visa.
