Engineering Professional Year Program

The Professional Year Program in Engineering run by The Engineering Education Australia (EEA)  was designed to incorporate the skills required for international engineering graduates to kick start their careers. The major area of study covered in the program is work practices followed in Australia, communication required for the businesses, and simulation of the workplace to impart the actual working skills required. The course comprises 32 weeks of course work along with 12 weeks of internship.

The Professional Year Program in Engineering offers engineering graduates a structured path from study to work in Australia. 

The professional year program in engineering makes you learn the Australian business culture and atmosphere also the student will know how to search for employment in the Australian workplaces. Eligiblity

Students must fulfill the below requirements to be considered for the Professional Year in Engineering:

  • Students must be awarded with an under graduate or post graduate degree from an Australian university or institute in engineering stream.
  • A Graduate (Temporary) Visa (subclass 485) of at least 12 months validity was obtained or sought for.
  • A current IELTS score of 6.0 overall and 6.0 in each skill, or a comparable English test result PTE with minimum score of 50.
  • An Engineering Australia’s successful Migration Skills Assessment result letter.
  • Before beginning the Professional Year Program, students must first complete a pre-enrolment interview and questionnaire.
  • A valid passport.
